Eyeliner/Eyelash Enhancement

It’s eyeliner that does not wear off or smear. To enhance lashes, small amounts of pigment is implanted at the base of the lash line to build up fullness or thickness to individual preference. Some prefer a smudged, softer appearance while others prefer a bold, definitive line or DesignerLiner™ with a graduated lift. This procedure is popular with both female and male clients.

For men, a very soft lash line enhancement is offered. Just a subtle addition of color is dotted in the lash line for subtle definition around the eye.

What should I expect?

The procedure takes approximately one and a half to two hours. Topical anesthetic is applied to desensitize the lids and make the procedure more comfortable. Immediately after the procedure your eyelids will be slightly swollen and tender. The following morning you will probably wake up with a “good cry” look. This is normal and will last 24-48 hours. You should not wear contacts or mascara during the healing process, which is about three days. You should also sleep with your head elevated above your heart for two nights to significantly reduce the amount of swelling. During this period you will need to follow your Aftercare instructions. Your permanent eyeliner will appear thicker and darker initially. As the area heals you will notice some of the color flaking off (exfoliating). This is normal and to be expected. Your follow up (second appointment) should be scheduled four to six weeks later.

Note: Additionally, when you are scheduling an eyeliner procedure or having a consultation for one, please let Denise know if you are using any lash growth serums as you will need to stop using the serum preferably a month prior to your eyeliner procedure. Also, if you have eyelash extensions, please have them removed one week, preferably two weeks, prior to your eyeliner procedure. This is for your safety and the procedure’s success.
